Site Manager – Civils (Construction)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead civils construction projects at our Amgen site in Dun Laoghaire. The role reports to the Contracts Manager and involves overseeing site‑based teams, subcontractors and multiple concurrent projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site‑based teams of employees and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Monitor project progress against tender allowances and programme, actively managing any slippage.
• Control subcontractor performance and minimise variations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, specialist subcontractors, in‑house functions and construction teams.
• Identify and communicate site‑based changes to engineering, commercial and support teams within one week.
• Motivate and lead team members, addressing under‑performance according to company procedures.
• Attend internal and external review and progress meetings.
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, SHEQ standards and maintain audit‑ready documentation.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in construction management or at least five years’ construction management experience.
• Minimum five years’ management experience delivering civils projects.
• Proven track record of delivering high‑quality, safe and efficient construction.
• Working knowledge of Irish construction industry regulations and standards.
• Experience in mission‑critical environments is an advantage.
