Site Working Foreman

About the role

We are seeking a Site Working Foreman to lead the construction of a large residential development in Athlone. The role is hands‑on, combining site supervision with technical expertise in carpentry and joinery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities and ensure programme dates are met.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, Engineer and design teams to schedule work efficiently.
• Coordinate with utility providers, councils and client representatives to meet approved standards.
• Rostering staff, monitoring inductions and communicating method statements and safe systems of work.
• Order and schedule material deliveries and implement traffic‑management plans.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, quality and compile safety documentation.
• Deliver the project within budget, timeframe and agreed scope while overseeing finishing stages.
• Work on the tools as needed to support the trade crew.

Required profile

• Carpentry/Joinery trade background with extensive site experience.
• Strong awareness of health & safety, environmental regulations and traffic management.
• In‑depth knowledge of residential construction, site plant and equipment.
• Advanced problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Effective liaison with client design teams, subcontractors and experience attending meetings.
• Skilled in quality control and able to produce accurate safety files.
