Software Engineer 3

About the role

MongoDB’s Atlas Growth team is looking for a mid‑level Software Engineer (SE3) to help build customer‑facing features for its cloud data platform. You will work in cross‑functional squads alongside product, design, analytics and research, focusing on metrics that drive user retention and conversion.

Key responsibilities

• Write readable, well‑tested code for new and existing features.
• Collaborate with product and design partners to iterate on customer‑facing functionality.
• Produce scope and technical specification documents for assigned projects.
• Lead small working groups of two to three engineers.
• Participate in code and document reviews.
• Help product management identify and deliver feature improvements.
• Tri­age support requests and alerts for owned products and join on‑call rotation after onboarding.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Fluency in TypeScript/JavaScript and experience with a modern front‑end framework such as React.
• Experience writing database queries (document‑based or relational).
• Ability to write and review technical specs and lead small projects.
• Interest in A/B testing or product design.
