Solar Technician – Utility-Scale PV & BESS (Dublin area)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Solar Technician to join our team in the Dublin area. The role is field‑based, supporting the operation and maintenance of utility‑scale ground‑mounted solar PV plants and associated Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will help ensure the sites run safely, efficiently and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned inspections, testing and preventive maintenance on solar PV and BESS equipment in line with legal, technical and contractual requirements.
• Carry out AC and DC system testing, troubleshooting and fault‑finding to minimise downtime.
• Maintain health and safety standards on‑site and contribute to continuous improvement of safety practices.
• Document work performed, report issues and support the implementation of corrective actions.
• Participate in an on‑call rota, including weekend duties, as required.

Required profile

• Fully qualified electrician with experience on MW‑scale power plants.
• Demonstrated competence with both DC and high‑voltage (HV) electrical systems.
• Willingness to work on‑site in the Dublin region and to be on call.
• Commitment to ongoing training and progression towards Authorised Person (AP) or Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status.
