Staff DevOps Engineer

About the role

Ripple is looking for a Staff DevOps Engineer to shape the future of its multi‑region, multi‑provider service platforms. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to automate, monitor and secure the delivery pipeline, ensuring that the company’s crypto solutions run reliably at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and maintain Ripple’s multi‑region, multi‑provider service platforms.
• Build and maintain automation, monitoring and instrumentation tools to reduce operational friction.
• Lead discovery and implementation of next‑generation DevOps solutions across engineering teams.
• Automate platform and application lifecycle services, driving convergence on declared states with minimal human interaction.
• Collaborate with product engineering to ensure code is production‑ready.
• Promote DevOps‑first principles throughout the organisation.

Required profile

• 6+ years of hands‑on DevOps or related experience.
• Strong background in building and managing extensive, multi‑region service platforms.
• Security‑aware mindset with experience applying security standards.
• Experience with Agile development of distributed services.
• Positive demeanour and passion for sharing knowledge.

Required skills

• Python, Go or Java programming.
• Kubernetes orchestration.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure.
• Container runtimes such as Docker, Rkt, OCI; container schedulers like Rancher or Mesos.
• CI/CD pipeline tools.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
