Staff Graphics Developer Tools Engineer

About the role

Join Qualcomm's Adreno GPU Software team in Cork to shape the next generation of graphics developer tools. You will work on profiling, performance analysis, and debugging solutions that help developers optimise for Snapdragon Adreno GPUs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop profiling, performance analysis, and debugging tool features.
• Collaborate with GPU hardware and software teams on performance validation and analysis.
• Debug issues, optimise the user experience, and support partners, OEMs, and the wider developer ecosystem.
• Influence how developers optimise for Snapdragon Adreno GPUs and gain insight into future GPU hardware designs.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming knowledge in C/C++ or demonstrated proficiency with C#, Rust, or Go.
• Solid understanding of GPU hardware and graphics concepts.
• Any two of the additional qualifications listed are a plus.

Required skills

• C/C++, C#, Rust, Go
• Vulkan, DirectX, Metal, OpenGL, WebGL
• Unity, Unreal Engine (or comparable game engine)
• OpenCL, CUDA, SYCL
• Graphics profilers/debuggers such as Nsight, PIX, GPA, RenderDoc
• Knowledge of ray tracing, mesh shading, work graphs
• Image and video processing, data parallelism, machine learning algorithms
