Staff Nurse – Cardiology & General Medical Ward

About the role

We are seeking qualified registered nurses to join our multidisciplinary teams on Ward 6A (general medical, diabetes and endocrine) and the newly created Cardiology Unit on Ward 6C at Raigmore Hospital. The role offers a supportive environment where you will provide high‑quality, safe and compassionate care to patients with diverse clinical needs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Deliver day‑to‑day nursing care, including personal care, mobility support, nutrition assistance and skin viability monitoring.
• Perform regular observations and record vital signs accurately.
• Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Work a flexible rota covering days, nights, weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (NMC‑registered) with a genuine interest in cardiology, general medical, diabetes or endocrine specialties.
• Willingness to work flexible shift patterns.
• Commitment to NHS values of equality, diversity and patient‑centred care.
• Ability to verify current residential address through identification documents.
