Staff Nurse / Care Coordinator (Permanent, Full‑Time)

About the role

Cheshire Ireland is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Staff Nurse/Care Coordinator to join our Galway team. The role involves leading and mentoring frontline care support staff while delivering high‑quality clinical care to adults with physical, sensory and neurological disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and supervise frontline care support teams.
• Ensure the provision of the highest quality clinical care for service users.
• Establish and maintain respectful, equality‑based relationships with people supported.
• Uphold Cheshire Ireland’s values, operating ethos and standards in daily practice.

Required profile

• Currently residing in Ireland and eligible to work there.
• Nursing qualification; registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (RNID, RND or RPN) is an advantage.
• Line‑management or significant supervisory experience in disability or personal social services.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with employee management, rostering and applicant tracking systems.
• Experience delivering training to staff at all levels.
• Evidence‑based decision‑making skills and a valid driving licence.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in English.
