Staff Nurse

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Staff Nurses to join our team at Ashbury Nursing Home in Blackrock, South Dublin. The role involves delivering person‑centred nursing care to residents in a residential care setting, supporting their physical, psychological and spiritual wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day nursing care, assess resident needs and develop, implement and evaluate individual care plans.
• Administer medications in line with doctors’ prescriptions and NMBI/HIQA guidelines.
• Safely manage and dispense controlled drugs according to established procedures and legislation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to ensure holistic care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Registered on the NMBI Live Register of Nurses (General Division) – not a Decision Letter holder.
• Nursing degree from a recognised third‑level institution.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland and ability to commute to the nursing home.
• Experience in a nursing home or interest in gerontology is advantageous.
