Staff Nurse

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Staff Nurse to join our team at Ashbury Nursing Home. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing the care of a cohort of residents each shift, ensuring care aligns with their preferences and medical needs.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to maintain a safe nursing home environment.
• Run the nursing home floor during your shift, overseeing resident care.
• Escalate resident care issues to the appropriate multidisciplinary team (MDT) member or HSE service when needed.
• Maintain accurate resident care plans.
• Manage medication administration and documentation.
• Engage with residents and their representatives for care planning.

Required profile

• Valid NMBI pin.
• Clear Garda Vetting disclosure.
• Post‑qualification nursing registration experience.
• Experience in an Irish nursing home setting is desirable but not essential.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Gerontology, healthcare management or IPC is a plus.
