Staff Nurse – Person‑Centred Support in Kill, Co Kildare

About the role

Cheeverstown is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to provide person‑centred support to adults with intellectual disability living at home in Kill, Co Kildare. The role focuses on helping individuals build independent, fulfilling lives within their community while upholding dignity and respect.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care and health assessments in the client’s home.
• Support individuals with intellectual disability and autism to manage daily health needs.
• Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalised care plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with HIQA standards.
• Act as a lone worker, ensuring safety and adherence to safeguarding protocols.

Required profile

• Level 8 Nursing qualification (RNID Division preferred).
• Membership with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
• Experience supporting people with intellectual disability and autism.
• Proven ability to work safely as a lone worker.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Calm, patient, consistent approach with strong communication skills.
