About the role
The Health Service Executive (HSE) is recruiting a Staff Nurse for the Pre‑Assessment Clinic at Mayo University Hospital. This permanent, full‑time position is based in County Mayo and serves patients preparing for surgical procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Provide nursing care within the pre‑assessment clinic, supporting patients before surgery.
- Utilise experience from an acute hospital environment to deliver safe and effective care.
- Apply depth of knowledge in surgical and theatre nursing to assess and prepare patients.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience working in an acute hospital setting.
- Proven depth and breadth of experience in surgical or theatre nursing.
- Eligibility to work in the HSE West and North West health region.
