Staff/Lead Platform & DevOps Engineer

About the role

Mimica is scaling its AI‑driven process intelligence platform and needs a senior engineer to strengthen the Platform team. As a Staff/Lead Platform & DevOps Engineer you will be the backbone for all engineering squads, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and cost‑effectiveness of the infrastructure that powers the product.

Key responsibilities

• Support engineering teams in building resilient applications on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and advise on best practices.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform and ArgoCD, and contribute to the migration toward Crossplane.
• Operate and troubleshoot multi‑region GKE (or EKS) clusters, including IAM and identity management on GCP/AWS.
• Investigate production issues, monitor system health, and implement fixes that align with the software development lifecycle of other teams.
• Drive FinOps initiatives to gain visibility and control over cloud spend across multiple accounts.
• Design access patterns and support BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud) and single‑tenancy environments.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable).
• Proven ability to work with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and ArgoCD.
• Comfortable debugging production issues and implementing robust solutions.
• Curiosity for emerging technologies and a collaborative mindset to work closely with other engineering groups.
