Supervisor, Jaw Crushing

About the role

The Supervisor, Jaw Crushing provides frontline leadership for crushing operations at Newmont's Lihir mine. You will ensure safe, efficient production while fostering a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily jaw crushing activities to achieve production targets.
• Champion Newmont's safety culture through visible leadership, field interactions and proactive risk management.
• Coach, mentor and develop operators and permit personnel to build capability.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives that boost operational efficiency and team engagement.
• Collaborate closely with maintenance, safety, control‑room and operational teams to optimise plant performance.
• Manage workforce deployment, shift coverage and communication between crews.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in crushing or similar mining operations.
• Strong focus on safety and ability to lead by example.
• Demonstrated capability to coach and develop frontline staff.
• Experience coordinating with maintenance, safety and control‑room functions.
