Surgical IOL Manager – Ireland

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Surgical Intra‑ocular Lens (IOL) Manager to lead its eye‑care portfolio across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The role is remote‑based, with a focus on building and maintaining relationships with hospitals and key decision‑makers while delivering technical consultancy on Alcon’s IOL products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and achieve sales targets for the IOL portfolio.
• Maintain and grow existing customer relationships, ensuring optimal product utilization.
• Provide high‑level technical consultancy, differentiating Alcon’s IOLs from competitor offerings.
• Collaborate with Account Managers, Tender and Pricing teams to create tailored customer solutions, bundles, and EFAs.
• Work with Customer Operations on consignment processes and leverage the MyAlcon360 platform where available.
• Gather and report competitor activity and market insights to line management.

Required profile

• Proven med‑tech sales success in the Irish market, with a strong results‑driven mindset.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Resilient, self‑motivated and capable of building relationships from scratch.
• Analytical and logical problem‑solving skills with data‑based decision making.
• Customer‑oriented attitude and ability to manage complex accounts independently.
