Sustainability Assurance & Reporting Assistant Manager (Hybrid)

About the role

Deloitte’s Sustainability team within Audit & Assurance is looking for an Assistant Manager to support high‑impact sustainability assurance, reporting and advisory engagements across all industries. The role combines audit expertise with deep knowledge of ESG frameworks, offering exposure to large Irish and international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support the engagement manager in delivering sustainability assurance and advisory projects, taking ownership of quality management, budgeting and client communications.
• Act as Engagement Assistant Manager, overseeing agreed aspects of engagement delivery from planning through conclusion.
• Participate in learning and development activities to build expertise in sustainability regulations and methodologies.
• Assist leadership with portfolio project management, business development, thought‑leadership initiatives and preparation of client workshop materials.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with audit and assurance experience, capable of leading assurance files from planning to conclusion.
• Demonstrated ability to coach a high‑performing team on sustainability matters and to manage engagement economics under ISAE 3000 or similar standards.
• Advanced analytical skills for interpreting non‑financial ESG data and assessing climate‑change risks.
• Desirable experience in GHG emissions calculations, and a solid understanding of ESG topics and reporting frameworks.
