Systems Administrator – Athlone

About the role

Medtronic is seeking a Systems Administrator for its Athlone site to manage and continuously improve critical business systems that support manufacturing and operational excellence. The role focuses on ERP master data management, backup administration of project and maintenance tools, and acting as a bridge between multiple functional areas.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support the BPCS ERP system for assigned business processes.
• Create, maintain, and audit item master records, parts data, and related system attributes.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and governance of ERP master data, including BOM maintenance.
• Support Engineering Change Orders and product/process changes within BPCS.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, Procurement, and Quality teams to align data.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
• Provide backup administrative support for the Planisware project management platform.
• Act as site administrator for the Maximo/CAMS preventative maintenance management system.

Required profile

• Experience working with ERP systems and master data management in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to coordinate cross‑functional activities and ensure data integrity.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle processes such as part creation, BOM revisions, and product launches.
