Systems Administrator – Contract (Hybrid, Cork)

About the role
We are seeking a Systems/Applications Administrator on a contract basis to support our client’s IT environment in Cork. The role follows a hybrid model, with 1‑2 days per week on‑site.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain productivity by managing critical systems and enterprise applications.
- Act as the primary SME for enterprise applications and support secondary applications.
- Develop, support and maintain application solutions using SCCM/MECM.
- Administer Active Directory and Azure AD, and manage related permissions.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot software and hardware across the network.
- Ensure network security by enforcing policies and monitoring activity.
- Perform data backups and maintain disaster‑recovery plans.
- Provide basic support for VMware and ESXi hosts.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of experience with Microsoft technologies.
- Strong knowledge of SCCM/MECM, SharePoint, Power BI, Microsoft 365 and Azure AD.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
