Talent Acquisition Specialist

About the role

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead the recruitment of construction and engineering talent for its Dublin operations. The role will support the delivery of high‑value engineering projects across sectors such as pharmaceuticals, data centres and power transmission.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from need identification to offer acceptance.
• Partner with hiring managers to define role profiles and recruitment strategies.
• Source candidates through direct outreach, social‑media advertising and talent pipelines.
• Screen CVs, conduct interviews (Microsoft Teams and face‑to‑face) and coordinate interview schedules.
• Maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and head‑hunters.
• Operate the Applicant Tracking System and keep recruitment data up to date.
• Negotiate salaries, generate contracts and oversee pre‑employment vetting (references, medicals, visas).
• Lead onboarding and induction activities for new hires.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end recruitment for construction or engineering roles.
• Ability to develop detailed role and competency profiles.
• Experience working with recruitment agencies and head‑hunters.
• Strong organisational skills for interview coordination and candidate communication.
• Familiarity with pre‑employment checks and onboarding processes.
