Tax Analyst

About the role

Google’s Finance team is seeking a Tax Analyst to lead tax compliance advisory across Alphabet’s UK operations and international markets. You will work closely with finance, legal, tax and treasury partners to provide expert tax guidance and support strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead tax compliance activities for UK operations, including oversight of tax incentive claims.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on tax matters, including controversy management.
• Identify, mitigate, and monitor tax risks through robust controls and procedures.
• Provide expert tax advice on transactions, business decisions, and emerging legislative changes.
• Continuously review and improve tax compliance processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 7 years of corporate tax experience.
• Professional qualification such as ACA or CTA preferred.
• Strong project management, tax research, and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Experience with technology and data analytics tools.
• In‑depth knowledge of applicable tax laws, regulations, and tax attributes.
