Tax Analyst

About the role

Citi is seeking a Tax Analyst to join its Dublin team. This trainee‑professional position supports the planning, accounting, filing and reporting of the company’s tax liabilities while working closely with securities operations and various business units.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the planning, accounting, filing and reporting of tax liability for the firm.
• Assist in gathering and compiling information required for income‑tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support payments to tax authorities in line with applicable regulations.
• Provide advice on tax procedures and concepts, collaborating with other teams to achieve sub‑function goals.
• Identify and implement process‑efficiency improvements.
• Apply corporate policies to business activities and assess risk in decision‑making.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and internal controls.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of U.S. tax information‑reporting rules for both U.S. and non‑U.S. persons.
• Working knowledge of IRS Forms W‑9, W‑8, 1099 and 1042‑S.
• Experience developing best practices and controls for Information Reporting, FATCA and CRS compliance.
• Ability to evaluate factual information and make sound judgments.
