Tax - Customs - Senior Manager

About the role

PWC’s Customs and International Trade team in Ireland is seeking a Senior Manager to lead complex, high‑value projects for clients across a broad range of sectors. You will help organisations navigate evolving global trade rules, free‑trade agreements, export licensing and sanctions while ensuring compliance and commercial competitiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a diverse client portfolio, delivering end‑to‑end customs and trade solutions.
• Develop new business opportunities and maintain strong market relationships.
• Design and launch new service offerings and products for the practice.
• Lead internal and external projects, collaborating with tax, advisory and accounting specialists.
• Motivate, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team to achieve high performance.
• Attract, develop and retain top talent within the firm.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Global Trade and Customs, with at least 5 years at manager level.
• Strong academic background with a degree in accounting, economics, finance or law.
• Proven leadership ability and a track record of building high‑performing teams.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of customs regulations and international trade compliance.
• Experience with export licensing, sanctions and dual‑use item controls.
• Ability to advise on the impact of free‑trade agreements and customs duty changes.
