About the role
As a Senior Associate in PwC's Tax Risk & Controversy team, you will help clients navigate Revenue interventions and manage overall tax risk. This is a fast‑growing, dynamic area of tax, offering the chance to develop specialised expertise.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the Revenue intervention process and act as the primary liaison with Revenue.
- Conduct pre‑audit testing across multiple tax heads and identify disclosure opportunities.
- Prepare qualifying disclosures and negotiate settlements, interest, and penalties with Revenue.
- Advise clients on their rights, Revenue powers, and strategic approaches to interventions.
- Assess clients' tax controls and support the development of a Tax Control Framework.
- Coach junior team members, drive engagement delivery, and ensure high client satisfaction.
- Promote digital transformation and apply innovative tools to tax risk projects.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of tax experience, preferably within the Revenue Commissioners, a Big 4, or a comparable practice.
- Tax or accountancy qualification (or equivalent experience) with a strong academic record.
- Proven ability to lead multiple engagements and deliver results under budget and time constraints.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to extract insights from market trends.
