Team Lead – Cybersecurity Engineering

About the role

We are partnering with a global technology organisation that is heavily investing in secure engineering. As the Team Lead for Cybersecurity Engineering, you will head an established Application Security team, blending technical direction with people management to deliver secure, cloud‑native platforms at enterprise scale.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers and security specialists.
• Define and own the team’s strategy, roadmap and technical vision, aligning delivery with business priorities.
• Drive Secure SDLC practices across engineering groups, including secrets management, SAST, SCA and DAST.
• Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Improve engineering practices through automation, testing, observability and continuous improvement.
• Provide architectural guidance, set engineering standards and ensure high‑quality delivery.
• Use metrics and analytics to support strategic decisions, prioritisation and capacity planning.

Required profile

• Previous people‑management experience leading engineering teams.
• Proven product delivery record on complex technical initiatives.
• Experience delivering scalable, cloud‑native software using Secure SDLC practices.
• Strong background in systems architecture, Agile, AWS and DevSecOps.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
• Passion for mentoring, coaching and developing engineers.
