Team Lead Engineering – Developer Experience (Remote)

About the role

As the Team Lead for Engineering – Developer Experience, you will own the internal DevEx platform, shaping its mission, scope and operating model. You will enable engineering teams across the company to ship faster and more reliably by improving workflows, tooling and standards, while fostering an inclusive, high‑performing team culture.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the Developer Experience function as a first‑class internal platform.
• Build and nurture a strong, inclusive team with sustainable delivery practices.
• Improve developer workflows, tooling, and standards to accelerate shipping.
• Drive adoption and evolution of a unified Design System across engineering and design.
• Translate company and engineering strategy into an outcome‑driven DevEx roadmap.
• Partner with Product, Design, Security and other Platform teams to maximise organisational impact.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading and growing engineering teams.
• Strong people‑leadership skills with a passion for coaching engineers.
• Technical background capable of setting clear technical direction.
• Ability to treat developers as internal customers and think in platforms and products.
• Excellent communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Comfort with ambiguity, turning strategy into execution and measurable outcomes.
