Team Leader – Residential Services for Adults with Intellectual Disability

About the role

The successful candidate will lead the day‑to‑day management of Residential Services for adults with intellectual disability in Limerick City. This position ensures that personalised residential supports are delivered safely, meet emerging needs, and comply with HIQA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of residential services and maintain compliance with HIQA standards.
• Develop and enhance a personalised range of residential supports for service users.
• Supervise, mentor and schedule staff, ensuring high‑quality care delivery.
• Manage on‑call duties, including evenings and weekend shifts.
• Assume the role of Person in Charge after three years of management experience.

Required profile

• Level 7 third‑level qualification relevant to the sector, with appropriate regulator registration.
• Minimum three years’ experience in health or social‑care settings.
• Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and Personal Lifestyle Planning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Full clean driving licence and own vehicle.
