Technical Interfacing Lead – EHR Integration

About the role

We are supporting a leading healthcare organisation undergoing an enterprise‑wide Electronic Health Record (EHR) transformation. The Technical Interfacing Lead will own the integration workstream, guiding a small team while remaining hands‑on with analysis, development, and delivery of critical interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement interfaces between the new EHR platform and third‑party systems.
• Manage project plans, timelines, deliverables and resource allocation for the integration team.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure integration solutions.
• Collaborate with programme managers, clinical SMEs, internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Support testing, issue resolution and go‑live readiness.
• Act as the technical escalation point for complex integration challenges.
• Ensure solutions comply with security, governance and interoperability standards.
• Produce and maintain high‑quality technical documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement of integration processes and technologies.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering healthcare system integrations in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of HL7 messaging standards and healthcare interoperability.
• Hands‑on experience developing, modifying and supporting HL7 interfaces.
• Experience leading technical teams or integration workstreams.
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
• Background in healthcare IT, EHR implementations or digital transformation programmes.
