Technical Trainer II – GMP Labs

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Technical Trainer II to develop and deliver learning solutions for GMP laboratory operations in Athlone. You will partner with business leaders to design, implement and evaluate training programs that support operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Present and facilitate new‑employee orientation sessions covering GMP principles, laboratory expectations and quality standards.
• Train laboratory staff on set‑up, use, basic troubleshooting and data interpretation for NEOP modules and techniques such as HPLC, osmolality and appearance analysis.
• Design, develop and implement training modules and supporting materials.
• Manage learning‑management‑system activities, track metrics and ensure training compliance.
• Identify knowledge gaps across functions and drive continuous improvement of training programs.
• Develop proficiency in new technologies, software and processes to support training initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience delivering technical training in a GMP laboratory environment.
• Ability to present and facilitate training sessions for new employees.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with project and functional leaders.

Required skills

• HPLC operation and data analysis.
• Osmolality measurement techniques.
• Appearance analysis methods.
• NEOP module setup and troubleshooting.
• Data acquisition system usage.
• Learning Management System (LMS) administration.
