Technology and Operational Risk Senior Manager

About the role

Monzo is seeking an Operational, Technology and Information Security Risk Senior Manager to join the second line of defence in Dublin. You will provide independent oversight, challenge and advisory support on operational, technology, resilience and information security risk across the EU.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the second‑line subject‑matter expert for operational risk, ICT and security risk (including cyber) and operational resilience.
• Review and challenge the design and effectiveness of controls over key technology systems and digital infrastructure.
• Provide oversight and challenge of first‑line risk and control self‑assessments (RCSA), incident management, issue remediation and risk mitigation processes.
• Support senior stakeholders in identifying, assessing, monitoring and managing risks in line with Monzo’s risk framework and appetite.
• Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Ireland fitness and probity standards for a Controlled Function.

Required profile

• Proactive, strategic mindset with strong technology risk management expertise.
• Deep understanding of operational resilience and digital banking operations.
• Experience working in a senior risk‑management role within a regulated financial environment.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders across technology, information security and operational teams.
