Trainee Accountant – Galway

About the role

Join Xeinadin’s Galway team as a Trainee Accountant and gain hands‑on experience across all core accounting functions. You will work closely with senior staff, engage with clients early in the process, and benefit from a structured training programme and generous study leave.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and management accounts.
• Participate in audit engagements.
• Compile bookkeeping records and management reporting.
• Prepare corporation tax, VAT, RCT and income tax returns.
• Process payroll and handle related filings.
• Liaise with banks, legal firms, Revenue and other professional advisers.
• Manage client company secretarial requirements.
• Attend client premises and maintain high‑quality communication.
• Support teamwork initiatives and represent the firm professionally.

Required profile

• Achieved at least a 2.1 in accountancy or a related business degree.
• Minimum 420 points at Leaving Cert level (or equivalent).
• Motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering excellent client service.
