Transport Procurement Manager

About the role

This remote‑first position is focused on optimizing transport procurement within a fast‑growing digital logistics environment. You will act as the bridge between transport partners and customer needs, ensuring efficient, competitively priced, and reliable delivery solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Gather transport requirements, clarify details and identify suitable logistics solutions.
• Source capacity from carrier partners, request quotations, negotiate pricing and select optimal options based on vehicle type, route, lead time and service criteria.
• Calculate pricing, evaluate margins and prepare competitive transport offers for customers.
• Maintain accurate records of requests, prices and orders in internal systems.
• Monitor carrier performance, provide feedback and drive continuous improvement of the partner network.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with logistics providers and external partners.
• Identify recurring challenges and develop standardized processes and operational improvements.
• Support automation of procurement workflows using digital tools and AI‑enabled solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transport logistics, procurement, freight operations or a related field.
• Strong organisational abilities combined with commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with suppliers and customers.
• Ability to manage multiple requests efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confident negotiator with a solid understanding of pricing, margins and basic commercial calculations.
