Accommodation Assistant

About the role

The Accommodation Assistant ensures that hotel rooms, bathrooms, corridors and public areas meet the established 4‑star standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation. Working closely with the Accommodation Manager, the role supports guest satisfaction by maintaining a tidy environment and handling guest property responsibly.

Key responsibilities

• Clean assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridors and public areas using approved chemicals and equipment.
• Replenish bathroom and bedroom supplies to the required standards.
• Change bed linen and towels according to the hotel schedule.
• Maintain tidy, stocked accommodation trolleys, caddies and storage presses.
• Pass any guest property left behind to the Accommodation Manager.
• Report maintenance issues and accidents promptly to the supervisor/manager.
• Communicate room status, VIP moves and special needs to the supervisor.
• Handle guest complaints courteously and forward them to the manager.
• Adhere to fire, security, health and safety procedures and company grooming policy.

Required profile

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
• Ability to work according to a rostered schedule and wear a clean uniform with name badge.
• Good communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
• Willingness to participate in training and meetings to improve performance.
