Accountant – Financial Management

About the role

The Accountant will manage day‑to‑day financial operations for one of Connacht Hospitality Group's businesses, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls and timely insight for operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and balance‑sheet reconciliations, meeting agreed deadlines.
• Support General Managers with accurate financial information and commercial insights for decision‑making.
• Produce financial reports and analysis to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of annual budgets aligned with Group objectives.
• Maintain weekly cash‑flow forecasts and oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Complete creditor reconciliations and manage the purchasing system administration.
• Ensure robust financial controls, identify process efficiencies and analyse cost performance.
• Support statutory reporting, revenue returns and the annual external audit process.
• Participate in weekly finance meetings and contribute to finance projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant with experience in financial management, preferably within hospitality or a related sector.
• Proven ability to prepare management accounts, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
