Accountant – Group Reporting & Compliance

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to lead monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting under US GAAP and local GAAP for a portfolio of entities and property books. The role sits within a matrix finance team and works closely with construction accounting, treasury, tax and compliance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of group financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP.
• Own the numbers feeding into the books from Fixed Assets, Inter‑company, AR, AP, Bank & Cash, VAT and other finance areas.
• Process all ledger transactions, reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and resolve reconciling items during month‑end close.
• Manage local statutory audits for multiple European entities and coordinate VAT and tax filings.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as asset management, sales, FP&A and site operations, as well as third‑party service providers.
• Contribute to standardisation of P2P, O2C and R2R processes across Europe, Asia and the US.
• Identify and lead finance‑operational improvement projects, including integration and ad‑hoc initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified or near‑qualified accountant with experience in a multinational environment.
• Proven responsibility for multiple ledgers, group reporting and local compliance, including audit and VAT management.
• Familiarity with IFRS, US GAAP and local GAAP; real‑estate accounting and lease accounting knowledge is a plus.
• Understanding of Sarbanes‑Oxley controls and strong systems knowledge.
