Accounts Assistant

About the role

We are expanding our finance team in Shannon and are looking for an Accounts Assistant to support a fast‑growing, technically demanding structured finance operation. This is an ideal role for a part‑qualified accountant who wants to develop expertise in aircraft leasing, asset‑backed securities and other structured finance transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts and statutory financial statements for multiple entities.
• Assist with month‑end close, including reconciliations, journal entries and general‑ledger activities.
• Support financial controls and reporting across the finance function.
• Gain exposure to complex structured finance and ABS portfolios.
• Collaborate with experienced finance professionals in an aviation‑finance environment.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent.
• Experience preparing management accounts or statutory financial statements.
• Strong transactional accounting background, including reconciliations, journals, month‑end and GL work.
• Good understanding of IFRS or willingness to develop technical accounting knowledge.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
