AI Architect

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AI Architect to lead the AI architecture vision at Workhuman. Based in Dublin, you will work across Product, Data and Enterprise teams to design and implement AI/GenAI solutions that power intelligent products and analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the AI strategy and architectural roadmap for product and enterprise use‑cases.
• Design, prototype and oversee implementation of LLM‑based applications, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and agentic workflows.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, cloud‑native AI solutions using modern frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy and responsible AI standards.
• Collaborate with product, data science and infrastructure stakeholders to align architecture with strategic goals.
• Evaluate and select AI technologies, vendors and models, balancing cost, performance and maturity.
• Establish best‑practice standards, governance processes and long‑term architectural direction.

Required profile

• Proven experience architecting AI solutions that leverage large language models and foundational models.
• Strong strategic thinking with ability to evangelise AI use‑cases across an organization.
• Excellent communication skills to represent Workhuman’s AI vision to internal and external audiences.
• Understanding of governance frameworks for ethical AI and regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Design and deployment of LLM‑based applications and agentic solutions.
• Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Modern AI frameworks and cloud‑native technologies.
• Traditional ML techniques: regression, classification, forecasting, clustering (e.g., Decision Trees, XGBoost, ARIMA).
• Programmatic LLM risk controls: output format validation, context validation, content moderation.
• Cost‑performance optimisation, caching strategies, model mix selection.
