Airport Search Unit Officer

About the role

Join a dynamic, customer‑focused security team at Dublin Airport as an Airport Search Unit (ASU) Officer. You will work alongside aviation security professionals, providing safe and efficient screening for passengers, staff, baggage and vehicles while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct screening of passengers, staff, baggage and vehicles using security equipment.
• Operate a range of security screening equipment and ensure accurate results.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with passengers, managing queues and flow.
• Maintain awareness of security protocols, report concerns and enforce health‑and‑safety SOPs.
• Control access to restricted areas and assist during airport emergencies or unplanned events.

Required profile

• Legal right to live and work in Ireland.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 shift roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to meet Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) certification standards.
