Assistant Director of Sales

About the role

Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort is looking for a motivated Assistant Director of Sales to drive new business and manage major accounts for its 5‑star property. The role focuses on increasing corporate and conference revenue while delivering a luxury hospitality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the local corporate and conference market.
• Manage a portfolio of major accounts, aiming to meet weekly appointment targets and revenue goals.
• Conduct market research, monitor competitor rates and benefits, and perform competition shopping.
• Maintain existing relationships and network for new accounts both in Ireland and overseas.
• Track lost and turned‑down leads for future opportunities.
• Execute sales activities such as sales trips, appointments, telesales, site inspections, corporate hospitality, familiarisation trips, and tradeshow attendance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar hotel sales role.
• Full clean driver’s licence and own transport.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive outlook.
• Standards‑driven, customer‑focused, self‑motivated and strong leadership abilities.
• Experience setting annual sales budgets.
• Previous hospitality experience is essential.
