Assistant Financial Controller

About the role

The Assistant Financial Controller will support the Finance office of Hilton Dublin, ensuring accurate day‑to‑day financial operations. This position works closely with the Director of Finance and the wider accounting team to deliver timely financial information and maintain strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts accurately and on schedule.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet items and verify supporting documentation.
• Produce and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor sales revenue streams and maintain POS system integrity.
• Process hotel payroll promptly and ensure correct employee payments.
• Assist accounting staff with daily queries and operations.
• Manage cash handling procedures, including floats, transit, and safe controls.
• Oversee debtor collections, enforce hotel credit policy, and monitor credit implementation.
• Supervise accounts payable, reconcile vendor accounts, and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Support the external auditor during the annual financial audit.
• Perform other finance‑related duties as required.
