Assistant Lecturer - Applied Learning and Skills Development

About the role

The Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) is seeking an Assistant Lecturer to support Applied Learning and Skills Development. The position is based primarily on the Moylish Campus in Limerick and may involve occasional visits to other TUS campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and facilitate applied learning modules for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Develop curriculum materials that integrate practical skills with academic theory.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with academic staff to enhance interdisciplinary learning experiences.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant academic qualifications in education, applied learning, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching or facilitating applied learning environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to work across multiple campuses as needed.
