Assistant Night Manager

About the role

The Salthill Hotel is seeking a motivated Assistant Night Manager to support the Night Porter team during overnight operations. Working directly under the Night Manager, you will ensure smooth service delivery, maintain hotel standards, and address guest needs throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and uniform the Night Porter team, ensuring compliance with hotel policies.
• Train new night porters and update standard operating procedures as needed.
• Document and communicate any issues that arise during the shift.
• Process departmental accounting tasks, including function and room charge entries.
• Conduct the full Night Audit, file reports, and hand over to the day team.
• Coordinate with front office and other departments to resolve inter‑departmental matters.
• Oversee night‑desk operations, including customer service, call handling, and late arrivals.
• Ensure RSA compliance, assist the bar when required, and manage night‑porter rostering.
• Report maintenance faults, perform fire and safety walks, and log any security concerns.
• Complete additional tasks such as cleaning, moving furniture, and setting up function rooms.
