Assistant Professor – Business Analytics (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Dublin City University Business School is seeking an Assistant Professor in Business Analytics on a three‑year fixed‑term contract. The successful candidate will join the Enterprise and Innovation Group, contributing to high‑quality research and teaching focused on AI‑driven business decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Business Analytics, AI, and related topics.
• Develop and operationalise AI and agentic AI workflows for business applications.
• Conduct research in deep learning for natural language processing, including text analytics, semantic search, and conversational interfaces.
• Supervise research students and contribute to programme management.
• Engage with external partners and support the School’s outreach activities.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and teaching AI‑focused curricula.
• Strong publication record in AI, analytics, or NLP applied to business contexts.
• Ability to translate emerging AI capabilities into responsible, measurable business processes.
