Assistant Registrar

About the role

The Assistant Registrar supports the Registrar in managing daily operations of the Registrar’s Office on the Dublin campus of Oconee Fall Line Technical College. This position ensures the accuracy, security, and accessibility of student academic records while assisting students through graduation and transfer processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and secure all student academic records, evaluate transfer credits, and verify weekly withdrawals.
• Communicate with students approaching graduation and schedule classes for new and transfer students.
• Collect class grades from instructional staff and issue official grade reports.
• Create and maintain degree audits in collaboration with department chairs and faculty.
• Prepare statistical reports on degrees awarded and generate concise reports on student issues.
• Manage student information system accounts and resolve related inquiries.
• Serve as School Certifying Official for Department of Defense (DoD) and Veterans Affairs (VA) education benefits, ensuring compliance with military education policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience in academic records, or an Associate degree with at least five years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of FERPA regulations and experience processing DoD/VA education benefits.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Banner student information system.
