Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the General Manager in delivering a seamless dining experience at Handsome Burger. You will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with brand standards, health and safety regulations, and drive financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house activities to maintain product quality and customer service.
• Greet guests, conduct table visits, and resolve complaints promptly.
• Assign duties, schedule staff, and assist with training and performance evaluations.
• Manage inventory using the Nory system, order supplies, and control waste.
• Operate the POS system, handle cash, and complete end‑of‑day cash‑up procedures.
• Ensure opening and closing checklists, HACCP, and health‑and‑safety standards are followed.
• Maintain equipment, schedule repairs, and generate work schedules.

Required profile

• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to think quickly and make decisions under pressure.
• Thorough knowledge of restaurant operations and the ability to work any role from kitchen porter to server.
• Commitment to delivering a high‑quality guest experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS systems.
• Experience using the Nory inventory platform.
• Cash handling and end‑of‑day reconciliation.
• Understanding of HACCP and health‑and‑safety regulations.
