Associate Program Director – Internal Medicine Residency (Open Rank)

About the role

The Medical College of Georgia seeks a full‑time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor to serve as Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at St. Joseph's / Candler Health System, Savannah campus. The role supports the development and delivery of a nationally recognized residency program.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the quality of didactic and clinical education across all training sites.
• Review, update, and revise curricula to meet ACGME competency standards.
• Select, supervise, and evaluate core faculty annually.
• Assist with ACGME reporting through the Accreditation Data System (ADS) and annual program documentation.
• Ensure timely resident evaluations, schedule creation, and compliance with duty‑hour regulations.
• Participate in GME governance meetings and Clinical Competency Committee activities.
• Maintain accurate resident schedules, rotation data, and credentialing records.

Required profile

• Medical degree with board certification in Internal Medicine.
• Experience in graduate medical education and residency program administration.
• Demonstrated ability to lead faculty and manage educational initiatives.
• Strong understanding of ACGME accreditation requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the ACGME Accreditation Data System (ADS) and related online reporting tools.
