Audit Manager – Financial Crime

About the role

The leading global financial institution is looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join its Dublin team. You will lead internal audit activities focused on financial crime, helping protect the organisation from fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion, bribery and corruption.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and review regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Collaborate with compliance, risk, and legal teams to recommend improvements.
• Support the development and implementation of audit programmes and process enhancements.
• Participate in audit engagements across functional areas, ensuring efficiency and adherence to standards.
• Lead preparation of audit documentation such as Audit Planning Memoranda, Process Risk and Control Matrices, findings grids and detailed reports.
• Oversee follow‑up actions on audit findings and regulatory reviews.
• Manage communications with senior management and external auditors throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging financial‑crime trends and advise executive audiences.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
• Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFE, CGSS, CAFS or equivalent.
• Proven experience in internal audit or financial‑crime risk management within regulated industries.
• Strong understanding of AML, ATF, sanctions and related regulations.
