Audit Senior – Accountancy Practice in Dublin

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join a well‑established medium‑sized accountancy practice in Dublin. The role offers the chance to work with a diverse portfolio of local SMEs, family‑owned businesses and growing companies, providing hands‑on audit experience and clear pathways for professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit assignments for SME clients across various sectors.
• Plan, execute and complete audits in accordance with relevant auditing standards.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance throughout the audit process.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact during audits.
• Prepare audit files for partner review and assist in finalising financial statements.
• Identify control weaknesses and deliver practical, value‑adding recommendations.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA‑qualified Chartered Accountant.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a practice‑based audit role.
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
• Excellent communication skills with a client‑focused approach.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a busy environment.

Required skills

• Experience with audit software such as CaseWare (advantageous but not essential).
