Audit Senior – Cork

About the role

We are seeking an Audit Senior to join Xeinadin’s Cork office. The successful candidate will lead audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of SME clients, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards while delivering high-quality work.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate audit assignments, including staffing and scheduling.
• Attend client audit planning meetings and prepare financial statements.
• Produce high-quality work papers and review the audit team’s output.
• Deploy, delegate and supervise staff, providing coaching and feedback.
• Apply complex accounting and auditing concepts in practice.
• Complete audit files on time, meeting budget and deadline requirements.
• Maintain and develop client relationships.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CPA).
• Audit experience within a Big 4 environment.
• Proven ability to supervise audit assignments and manage client interactions.
• Self-motivated with strong organisational skills.

Required skills

• Technical proficiency in IFRS.
• Technical proficiency in FRS 102.
