Automated Door Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Automated Door Technician to join a growing technical team serving clients across food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, cleanroom research laboratories, hospitals and retail sectors. The role involves travelling to customer sites throughout Dublin, Wicklow and Louth to install, service, maintain and repair automatic door systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and configure automatic door systems according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Perform routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on doors and associated access equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out efficient repairs to minimise downtime.
• Complete accurate service reports, maintenance records and compliance documentation.
• Liaise professionally with customers, site managers and colleagues to explain work performed and any follow‑up actions.
• Maintain tools, parts and equipment, adhering to health and safety policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in automatic door installation and service.
• Current Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications.
• Full Irish or European driving licence.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical plans.
• Strong communication skills and a professional team‑oriented attitude.
