Backend Developer – Digital Health Platform

About the role

Vitalograph is seeking a Backend Developer to join its Digital Health Platform team. Reporting to the CTO and working closely with the VP of Digital Health Technology, you will design, build and maintain the server‑side services that power web and mobile applications used in respiratory diagnostics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain backend services for a complete digital health system.
• Design and implement server‑side logic, databases and APIs (RESTful or GraphQL).
• Create, manage and optimise SQL Server databases ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Build standalone, plug‑and‑play backend components and integrate them with front‑end applications.
• Design real‑time services using C#.NET, Java, Python and Node.
• Debug, troubleshoot and tune performance of backend services.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure compliance with Vitalograph SOPs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Computer Science degree or equivalent engineering qualification.
• 3+ years of experience as a backend developer.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to debug complex issues.
• Proficiency with Git and code‑review tools.
